Good morning, my sweet peas. I want to start off this morning on a bit of a somber note. Fridays here are typically a place of happy and gratitude, but the news of Anthony Bourdain’s death hurts my heart something fierce. He is a man I admired, slightly envied, and had a massive crush on. His zest and love of life always made me feel inspired to travel the world, and I’m sad his spirit no longer lives with us in the physical world. That, coupled with the news of Kate Spade’s suicide earlier this week (and the increase of suicides in nearly every state of the country), means it’s more important than ever to reach out in times of need. Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it is a free and confidential support network for anyone in distress.
Let’s dive in today’s gratitude <3
I’ll be in the city all day for a meeting with my coworkers, so may be slow to reciprocate, but if this is your first time here—WELCOME! Each Friday I link up with Lindsay, Beth, and the friendly peeps in our Peaceful Posse Facebook group. Let’s have a look at some things that made me unbelievably happy this week!
Getting to celebrate my friend at her bridal shower and catching up with an old coworker
Quiet morning walks with the pup
The Last OG—this show makes me so happy
Finding out today—EEPPPP!!—if our offer on a home was accepted. Two nights ago we went to see a house and I fell truly, madly, and very deeply in love with it. I didn’t want to get my hopes up in case Bryan didn’t feel the same way, but it turns out he loved it as much as I did and now I’ll be hyperventilating until we hear back from the realtor

A wonderful and supportive and amazing circle of friends
Finding an old mix CD and popping it into the CD player in my car. Let’s bring back tapes!
Alone time at the gym and laughing at the guy who was yelling into his cell phone while on a treadmill with the girl working out next to me
Let me know what you are grateful for in the comments below, and hope everyone has a great weekend ahead! XOXO

Today is a tough day. It’s hard to wake up every morning to awful news but we have to keep looking for the good things in life and each other so I’m thankful for your post reminding me of that 🙂
Have a great weekend Charlotte and fingers crossed for your offer. That room is AMAZING.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Anthony Bourdain. So much hurt in the world we live in. I really hope he is at peace with whatever demons had him. That play room is sooo cute! OMG! I will cross my fingers that it works out for you! Have a wonderful weekend friend!
There has been so much sad news recently and often we realise that we have no idea what others are going through.
I’m holding thumbs for you and Bryan – hoping you get the news you want soon! That room is adorable!
People on the cellphones at gym – I don’t get it! I try not to get annoyed because I like to leave stress outside and enjoy my time working out but seriously people need to get off their phones!
Finding old CD’s and listening to the music you loved years ago is always so much fun.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get that news soon.
I still listen to CD’s in my car. Never thought about throwing them out and you can get used ones at record- and thrift-stores for as little as a buck. Good luck with the house!
It was a sad morning. I have avoided FB because I have lots of friends with different opinions on suicide. UGH! That Farmer’s Market is adorable. Girl, we have a 5 CD changer in our entertainment center that we haven’t used in over 10 years. I opened it the other day and found No Doubt, Creed, and Jewel in there LOL . Dead! Have the best weekend possible!
It’s been a sad week, so it’s nice to remember the good things. Hope you get good news about the house!
Ooh fingers and toes and all things crossed that your offer is accepted since you BOTH love the house. And aw, that room is just adorable. I love it.
I was so sad to hear about Kate and Anthony this week. Suicide is just tragic – for everyone affected. I don’t believe the notion that suicide is selfish. How low do you have to get to want to take your own life…and not just WANT it, but to actually DO it? That’s not selfish. That’s just horribly sad, and like I said, tragic.

Oh my goodness – that farmers market. That will sell a house. And I love the story of you laughing with the girl next to you at the guy. I was next to a Domino’s driver at a stoplight, after the car in front of him got confused and sped through a red light. He looked at me and we both threw up our hands and shook our heads and laughed. Solidarity.
Anthony Bourdain was a force. Drop dead sexy too. It sucks. It just sucks.
I miss the early morning walks when I had my pup. They were the best. That’s the cutest little market! It looks like it might have been inspired by the blog At Home with Natalie. I love how creative people are with kid spaces!
I was heartbroken over Anthony’s death. What a loss to the world!
Have you hear back about the house???
OMG that little kiddie farmers market is SO cute ahhhh I am hoping and praying for you both that this goes through…. how exciting!! We just put an offer on a home as well… a few days ago…and now I also got a new job offer so I am kind of hyper ventilating wondering if I am insane to possibly do both life changing things at once! Lol – I really reallyyyy hope you guys get it!
