Eeeeeeep! I can’t believe it’s finally HERE! I feel slightly underdressed and unprepared even though I’ve waited for this for my entire blogging existence . For those of you who may not know, SITS (or “Secret is In The Sauce”) is a wonderful community of bloggers and today they have chosen me to be their featured blogger (I’m not worthy!).
I started My Pixie Blog just over a year ago because I was mending a very broken heart. At the time, I had recently broken up with my boyfriend of six years and I was not where I expected to be in life. I had just turned 30 and it seemed like all of my friends were getting married, buying houses, and having children. I was heartbroken that I had prolonged those events indefinitely. Since I started recording this journey, my life has taken all sorts of interesting turns and this blog has transformed into something else entirely, but through it all, I have tried to remain optimistic, hopeful, and honest with myself and my feelings.
To help you get settled, I have selected a few of my favorite posts. This is around the time when I started to feel like my old self again and I discovered a love of meditation. And in this post, I danced with a handsome stranger at a Phish show and began to “feel the feelings I forgot” all over again. And here is my most scandalous blog entry to date.

It’s amazing what time can do. I also started my blog due to some conflict in my life with my now husband’s ex-wife. I wanted something positive to write to the negative things she said about him (and me). She had it all in her wordpress blog. It was awful. BUT. It helped me start a blog and I am so glad I did. It really changed me and now we are friends.
All that to say, “I BELIEVE. In the healing powers of blogging!” Or meditation. Or time. Or whatever the magic IT is.
Off to read the scandalous….I can’t resisit and I have a LOT of crazy single stories. 🙂
