Being in a relationship with someone who hates to have his picture taken poses quite the challenge. Despite my best efforts at sneaking a pic when we’re out to dinner or at a concert, many times I’m left with the Blank Stare which, let’s face it, could also double as a mugshot.

This photo was taken in Enniskerry, Ireland at a wonderful little breakfast joint called Poppies. (sorry, hunny. I love you. Even though you’re giving me the Death Stare, I think this is a handsome shot)
Every now and then we manage to get it right and have been able to take a few good shots:

Aside from occasionally posting these photos to Facebook (and then having them buried in my feed with countless dog pictures), I really miss having a physical book to keep them in.
Enter Love Stories, a beautiful memory journal where couples are asked to fill in the pages with answers to thought-provoking prompts (for example: Special times we’ve had together in the past year; Things we’d like to change or do differently, etc). What I like most is that there are spaces for photographs to accompany the many memorable times you spend together, highlighting anniversaries in a more unique, meaningful way. Snapping a picture is one thing, but focusing on hopes and dreams for the future and what made the year so great (or even challenging) opens dialogue and enables you/your partner to work through those life moments together.

With prompts that span a timeframe of 25 years, this journal is about growing together. In good times and bad. Through sickness and in health. Love Stories would make a wonderful gift this Valentine’s Day for your partner or any couple you know tying the knot. Follow From You to Me on Twitter and on Facebook for more of their personalized and stunning journals.
Oh! I almost forgot—even more icing on the cake! This journal is also environmentally friendly (made of sustainable and acid-free paper).
I received a copy of Love Stories for this review. All opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
This seems like an awesome idea! A unique way to capture those important moments within one’s marriage!
What a beautiful idea! I need something like this in my life.
This is such a great idea! Izzy doesn’t like having his pic taken either, it drives him nuts when I try to!
A) You guys are so adorable! My husband is also not good in pictures. I mean, he LOVES having them taken, but he’s always squinting or not smiling or looking crazy. Engagement and wedding pictures were fun!
B) This journal is so awesome. I never knew there was something like this out there. I am definitely going to have to check it out!!
What a cute idea! OM gosh, your pictures are adorable. My guy doesn’t mind me taking pics but absolutely not to post on my site or any social media. He’s so funny. He always smiles for me but I get the warning. “don’t you post that!!”
What a wonderful idea! This could be a great wedding gift. Your pictures are adorable 🙂
I like this idea. Although as a single person at the moment, it does make me a little sad just the thought of not having a way to share something like that.
A while back when I was married, i did have something similar but in regular photo album and post it notes all over the images. This post reminds me of that. 🙂
Ha, love that mug shot! My husband would be the same. So good to journal, put pen to paper and reflect about relationships. I like going back later and looking at all that has happened; chronicling the journey of life. Visiting you via #SITSShareFest
He takes great pics! I think he looks great in every one of them! I love that book too. What a great idea and very romantic. I don’t relish taking pics either, but we all do it! lol. Have an awesome week and thanks much for that book idea!
Ugh, I feel your pain about living with people who hate having their photos taken! Not cool here.
You two make such a lovely couple. I love the photos. And what a great idea to journal it!
