I’m not sure if you are all aware, but the temps in the city have dipped to unheard of record lows. Maybe they’re not unheard of, but I don’t do well in this kind of weather and as much as I’d love to go into hibernation, I still have to show up to work every morning at 9 am. Bummer.
I did have the chance to see the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at City Center this week which was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve always been impressed with modern dance and took classes when I was younger (sadly, I did not turn into a graceful swan and can still be found walking into poles and people. Don’t even get me started on my bike-riding skills). Their tribute to Otis Redding is really worth checking out next time you find yourself in the city.
I hope you all have exciting things planned for your weekend. I’ll likely take it easy the next few days. When the weather guy boasts that temps will finally reach 40 degrees, it doesn’t make me want to get all dolled up and hit da club. Hey, remember those days in college? How did we ever survive hypothermia?

In Alabama, we’ve had HIGHS in the low thirties this week. I am not built for this kindof cold. And if it insists on being this cold? I want snow.

It was 37 out tonight; really wasn’t bad at all. Perhaps though 37 in Manhattan is just warmer than 37 outside of Manhattan.
