You know that dumb ass expression about March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb? It’s happening and I can feel it in my bones. So far, though we’re only a few days in, my body is numb with discomfort and I just want to hibernate under blankets with my heating pad (aka Buster) and sip chai tea all day.
Anyone else?
Unfortunately, that’s just not my reality and I spent much of this weekend working and getting back on track. As much as I looooove to get away, when you have a full-time job, a blog to maintain, several social media accounts to update, and a side business to run, sometimes it takes a while to get back into the swing of things.
So let’s not waste any time. Let’s look back on some February goals to see how we did, shall we?
- Go to the gym a minimum of two times a week. <I’m disappointed in myself. I have really fallen off the bandwagon these past few weeks (months even! I have to be honest with myself) so I’m going to have to add this one back on the list
- Figure out my taxes <met with the accountant so that’s on him now 🙂
- Drop off clothing/goods at Salvation Army, homeless shelter, or animal shelter. <Sadly, didn’t achieve this one
- Figure out an Instagram strategy & get closer to 2,000 followers—I’m at 1,724 now <I’ve really improved my Instagram game and am spending a bit more time on this. Right now, I am up 181 followers from last month (1,905 followers as of this morning)
- Enjoy the heck out of Jamaica but also use the time wisely (writing, reading, relaxing) Oh, heck yes.
All in all, not a bad month, but there’s a lot I need to improve on in March (and I’m already a few days late to the party!). That’s why I like setting these monthly reminders—I can always go back and assess my journey and milestones.
Here are just a few personal/professional goals for March:
- Secure the brands I’ll be working with for my April birthday giveaway
- Work on at least one more sponsored post
- Read at least two books
- Stop stressing about circumstances beyond my control; send more things out into the universe for guidance
- Head back to the gym and stick with a workout plan that works. For realz this time
- Be honest with myself about my needs. Say no when I can’t and yes when I want
Have you made goals for March? Let me know (and share the link with me in the comments so I can read them)!
PS: There’s only one day left to enter the Merch Nerds t-shirt giveaway! Don’t forget to enter, sweet friends!
I have not made any goals yet, but I need to! How are we already 6 days into March? Im so glad you had a great time on vacation! Do you know what books you are going to read yet?
I also have a goal to read two books in march. My hardest goal for the month is going to be sticking to my march blogging schedule. It’s the first time I’ve ever made a schedule before the month started, and I really hope I can stick to it!
I think you did pretty well with your February goals, and I hope you are successful with all of your March ones! I lost 14 pounds in February so my biggest goal is to keep doing well with that and make it at least 20 pounds lost by the end of March. I also want to try and walk more. The weather just needs to cooperate.

I think 3 out of 5 is a pretty good effort! I haven’t made any goals for March, but your posts definitely inspire me to 😉
Awesome March goals! I need to stop stressing about things outside of my control, too 🙂
You are crushing it girl! We have many similar goals, sometimes the fitness ones are the toughest. You got this!
Ahh! Instagram! Did anything I say help? I struggle with it myself.
March is certainly in like a lion. The problem is that I remember it going out like a lamb in NJ, but never here. Never!!
I don’t make goals – maybe that’s part of my problem 😛
I got burned out by goals so now I go with the flow and see what unfolds.
It mostly explodes.
But I have nice hair.
So it all works out in the end.
Love you.
Congrats on all the IG followers! I’m trying to make it a goal to hit 1k by the end of next month. We’ll see… 🙂
Sounds like a productive February, Charlotte. I skipped spin class last week but I am planning to go tomorrow. I have felt ‘lazy’ not sure what it’s about. I’ve stayed with my yoga practice though so I guess that’s good. I know I need to lose weight but I still eat my favorite things. I also don’t really set goals regularly, kind of like what kim said. Maybe that’s what’s wrong 😛 Have been getting some legal and accounting situations under control so that feels good, too. So, we’re both going to workout more this month!
Sorry, I meant to ask if you have some secrets to the Instagram followers. Lots of hashtags? or what’s your secret. Spill.
These sound like such awesome goals!! I haven’t made any goals this month, but I need to.
I NEED to really stop worrying about things beyond my control.
xoxo
I really need to up my insta game! I’m totally stagnant on followers. It’s pretty much that way with all of my social media, actually. Gain a couple, lose a couple.
