Hemp Helps review and giveaway

You may not already know this from reading my blog because I tend to keep my personal spending habits out of the picture, but I’m a bit of a shopper. I’m trying to wean myself off the habit, but I love a sturdy vegan handbag (my all-time favorite personal obsession), seasonal shoes, and comfortable and flattering clothing. Over the past few weeks, I’ve donated, recycled, and attempted to sell the items that hadn’t made it out of the closet in ages, because I desperately want to live simply and mindfully.

As luck would have it, I heard about Hemp Helps, a company that provides sustainable clothing that supports a greater cause and social good. Their clothing makes a difference so you can feel GOOD about your purchases. Hemp Helps has partnered with Trees for the Future, and with each item you buy, you are helping to plant trees. How neat is that? Oh! And they’ve also worked with Feeding America to help fight hunger and the Nature Conservancy. If you have ideas for future campaigns, they encourage fans to email them!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the chance to exchange emails with cofounder Andy, and I have to say, his radiant personality and enthusiasm really captivated me and made me excited to try out their products and learn more about their mission.

And then I was sent this t-shirt.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the most comfortable and softest shirt that I now own. As soon as I pulled it out of the recycled paper wrapping and showed it to Bryan, he asked where his was (HA!). It’s incredibly cozy and perfect for a fall walk with our Buster face (I’m told it also gets softer with each wash). Also? This shirt helped plant 11 trees.

I received even more goodies, like this bag and hemp bracelets. This, my friends, is one of the greatest perks of being a blogger.
