The other day I flipped the page in my Villalobos wall calendar and stared at the print at the top of the page. June. How did we get here? I know it’s impossible to slow down the days of summer though I want to savor and enjoy every cloudless, sun-filled afternoon and light-sweater-only evening.
Something so magical about this time of year, right?
(Though you can take the two days of nonstop rain we had earlier this week.)
With June comes Father’s Day, a holiday that always leaves me feeling stumped. My dad a is a very simple man—he likes reading the New York Times every morning, playing billiards in the evening, a glass of whiskey after dinner, Mad Men, and his dog Pedro. He also doesn’t like extravagant gifts and is notorious as the Most Difficult Man In The World To Shop For.
