I was not sponsored for this post. I received a sample of Cold Brew Kitchen coffee in exchange for this review. All opinions are entirely my own.
I don’t often meet a coffee I don’t like… The intoxicating smell of a pot brewing; the way it kisses the back of my throat to wake my senses in the morning… all of it is heaven to me.
I’ve been drinking coffee as long as I can remember. I’m trying my darndest to quit my intake and switch to decaf, but it’s never quite the same and I’m always disappointed. I crave the caffeine kick that slowly sets in as I gulp my first buttery sips of java.
I recently had the chance to brew my own cold brew coffee at home courtesy of Cold Brew Kitchen and sample the goods. I loved the process of immersing the grounds in filtered water and watching the coffee come together. I realize that probably sounds super nerdy but with anything in life, when you create and are a part of the process, it’s always deeply gratifying.

Because I was brewing an Espresso Blend, the taste was a bit more on the bitter side than what I am accustomed to. I added some almond milk and sugar to sweeten the flavor and it was a perfect accompaniment to my mid-afternoon banana and peanut butter treat.

Here are some things you need to know from Cold Brew Kitchen:
“Cold Brewing is a method of brewing that has recently gained popularity. Coarse ground coffee is steeped in water for 12-24 hours, resulting in a rich concentrate that has deep, complex flavor. Cold brew concentrate can be diluted and enjoyed black, or with any creamer or flavoring. Coffee brewed cold is delicious hot – just add water to taste and warm on the stovetop or in the microwave.”

Another bonus of cold brewing is that the acid is reduced in the creation of the coffee, which makes it better for your tummy than regular coffee. I think what I love the most, however, is the fact that you brew once and can keep it in the fridge for 7-10 days!

Coffee or brownie made me laugh. I have never tried cold brew but it sounds interesting!
I’d never even heard of cold brewing coffee before today – but it may be because I’m more of a tea drinker. ?
I have never tried cold brew but am really curious to do so! The brownie made me laugh as well! Hope your day rocks! Hugs xxx
I really enjoy cold-brewed coffee, but have never tried to make it myself. Thank you for the great post on it! I’m interested in trying the reserve blend from Cold Brew Kitchen.
It does look like a brownie, ha ha! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I know some people who would love to try this 🙂
Looks deliciously rich. Is it thick to drink? I’d love to try it. I love that the acid is reduced by steeping it so long compared to regular coffee. I’d love to try any of the varieties, to be honest with you.
I loooooove coffee. I used to drink a ton but have cut down to 1-3 a day, which is still a lot. I think.

Interesting. I never heard of this before.
The Thrive Farmers Whole Bean Heritage Coffee – Wild Rooster Espresso Blend, sounds amazing!
I’ve heard a lot about cold brewing but have never tried it. I do love coffee of all sorts though!
First I’ve heard of this method. I LOVE espresso and strong coffee so I would probably enjoy this. I don’t have a microwave though. Great review, Charlotte.
Coffee or brownie? I would not turn down either.
