Hello and happy Monday! Well, it looks as though all of the hype was for good reason—we received a buttload of snow in New Jersey over the weekend (about 20 inches!). Including some winter wonderland shots below. Also, just as a disclaimer, I fell twice while taking these pictures (full disclaimer: drinking may have been involved) and I shoveled for about 5 minutes until my little arms started to hurt; clearly I need to step up my workout routine.
The snow put a hold to any plans we may have had but it was nice to binge-watch The Affair (almost done with season 2!), read, take a bath, bake cookies, make more veggie noodle soup, and catch up on laundry.
Also? This happened:
Bryan and I had a taste-off to determine which vegan cheese from Punk Rawk Labs we liked the most. Here’s how that went.
Bryan: I’m not really hungry right now. Okay, I’ll just try one…
(ten minutes later, Bryan is back in the kitchen)
Me: Whatcha doing?
Bryan: (sheepish) Nothing.
Me: ARE YOU EATING MORE CHEESE WITHOUT ME?!
Bryan: (mouth clearly full of cheese) NO.
HOLY DELICIOUSNESS, you guys. These are amazing. Savory. Creamy. Full of flavor. Awesome texture. Bryan was a huge fan of the nacho flavor; I loved the herb. Perfect pairing for coffee (am I the only one who likes coffee/cheese combo?) or wine (which I tried later in the evening, because I’m not that much of a lush at 10am).
Punk Rawk Labs was started by three women: a scientist turned raw chef, a record store owner, and a nutritionist. Their mission was to offer diverse food options that are delicious and healthy for our bodies as well as the planet. Yum! Those flavors sound so good! Great snow shots, Charlotte! Did you guys like The Affair? I wasn’t crazy about it. Not sure what it was. Anyway, a snow day is kind of fun once in a while and gives everyone an excuse to stay home and relax 🙂
