It’s late at night as I write this and I’m doing so because the daytime hours always seem to pass me by much too quickly. But also sometimes I think up a lot of excuses. The truth is, blogging has slowly become an afterthought in my life, no longer at the forefront now that my time is divided… well, differently. And that makes me so sad but also I want to be clear. I am NOT giving up on blogging anytime soon. I love this little world far too much; I think I just have to be more mindful of how I spend my time, that’s all. I’m not going anywhere and I for sure would miss the piss out of you all 🙂
All that said, let’s dive into today’s currently list <3
Thinking: about how serendipitous life is. For weeks I’ve been considering a trip to a random town in PA called Jim Thorpe. Last night I thought about all the bands I really missed seeing in concert, especially Old Crow Medicine Show (and Phish, but that will require a babysitter and I’m not sure the summer tour will happen for me this year, wah!). Anyway, wouldn’t you know it–OLD CROW IS PLAYING IN JIM THORPE! I am going to see if we can bring Mila to her first show this summer; it’s a smaller venue, mostly outdoors and pretty spaced out. I’m so excited! PS: Have you ever brought baby/toddler to a concert? Obviously we’ll need headphones; anything else?
Enjoying: The peace and quiet. Mila is taking her nap. Bryan is watching TV during his lunch break. I’m eating and catching up on emails
Feeling: Sleepy and in need of more coffee…
Wearing: My very comfortable Piko shirt (are you familiar with these? They are the best), skinny Agolde jeans, and a leopard print cardi. Jersey girl in full effect lol
Needing: Coffee. Did I mention that already? A nap. Weather isn’t doing me any favors today
Wanting: for the rain to stop. Plans to just materialize. Work to stop being so annoying. To continue watching Working Moms on Netflix. Have you seen it? We just started and saw about three episodes. There’s a scene where a girl hands off her baby to the sitter through the car window and I died laughing. It felt oddly relatable (do I need to add here that I absolutely 100% love and adore my daughter??? But yea. If you could just watch her for five that would be great!)
Listening: to the sound of my angry typing and TV in background
Making: Plans for the summer and booking a vacation, dammit
Eating: an English muff with gouda and tomatoes and a very small egg quiche with spinach that I may have made for Mila lol
Drinking: water–that reminds me, I need a refill
What’s on your currently list, folks?
