Good morning and happy day after Valentine’s Day! What did you do? I attempted a photoshoot which didn’t go well (my parents stopped by yesterday and I think Mila was just completely spent at that point) but I may try and recreate it later with my little Valentines (shh, don’t tell anyone!).
Anyway, I hope you all had a nice weekend and that you celebrated love, in whatever form that might be <3
I just realized I skipped a month of goals inadvertently so I don’t have anything to look back on. Whoops! But I can start anew for February and that’s the beauty of having your own blog and calling the shots… I have no one to blame or congratulate but myself. And so! Here are some things I’d like to accomplish with what’s left of the month (can you believe we’re more than halfway through??):
- Do something nice for myself. Bryan told me he’d like to treat me to a manicure for Valentine’s Day which is pretty much the best thing ever because uninterrupted time to myself? WHAT IS SUCH A THING!? I need to incorporate more “me time” in my life.
- Get back on the workout train. I’ve really fallen off the wagon, you guys, and I don’t have any good excuses (I have a laundry list of bogus ones though). Sure, time is always a factor, but maybe I wake up earlier and take Milo for his am walk before the gang gets out of bed or I skip a tv show to hop on the bike in the evening. I can do this 👊
- Make good use of my weekends. I have a new rule that I don’t do laundry on weekends anymore so I don’t blur the lines of week/weekend (let’s be real—all the lines are blurred when you work from home during a pandemic). During the week I work full time, take care of Mila, plan meals/feed Mila solids 3x a day, and freelance for clients… it’s a lot but there’s room for laundry and assorted bullshit. Moving forward I want my weekends to be dedicated to my family and the things I actually WANT to do with my time.
And there you have it. As usual, short and sweet and totally attainable, at least I hope so.
Have a list of goals to share? Let me know in the comments!
