Hello, party peoples! If this is your first time here, welcome to my corner of the web. Each Friday I link up with Lindsay and Beth to share our Friday gratitude. In a world gone mad, it’s nice to slow down and give thanks for what we DO have. Today was supposed to be Mila’s scheduled c-section date, but she obviously had other ideas in mind. And I’m so glad she did because it’s been fun having her here this past week and in time for my birthday <3 Let’s dive in, I’m already late and I have a lot of your blogs to catch up on! Here’s my weekly gratitude, and don’t forget to add your links below. We always love to hear from you!
The birth of Mila (technically it was just over a week ago but I’m forever grateful she’s here and safe)
My dad (whose birthday is the 4th) saying we could still all share a cake (very sweet, but no….
we get separate cakes!)
The nurses and care staff at St. Clare’s hospital in Denville
Having Bryan’s family grocery shop for us while we settle into a groove–that has been such a huge help
Getting back to my regularly scheduled diet of veggies, fruits, and whole foods
Naps, when I can sneak them in
This sign that we arrived home to
Friends/family to turn to for all the tough baby questions. Sometimes I get irrationally sad that I can’t share this joy with everyone in person, but I know our time will come and it’ll be so much more meaningful because of this experience. I just need to keep reminding myself of this (in the meantime, and when the weather warms up, we’re going to surprise my parents and have them come to the window so they can officially “meet” our little stinker)
And there you have my list of happy. I look forward to connecting with everyone and have missed your faces in my feed so very much. Who knew parenthood would be so exhausting (I know, I know. EVERYONE!)? Love you all so very much and sending lots of cheer from my little corner of New Jersey. XOXO
