Hello and happy weekend! How was your first full week back after the holiday madness? I felt pulled in a million directions but hope things calm down in the coming weeks, when I’m fully integrated in some semblance of a routine. Welcome to my little corner of the web, where I host a linkup each Friday with my blog babes Lindsay and Beth. Each week we take a moment to reflect on the happy things that happened as a way to live with intention and gratitude. It’s a beautiful practice, and we hope you’ll join by linking up with us before (it wouldn’t be a party without you!). Let’s get started, shall we?
Getting a manicure with an old friend. Of course, I plugged the wrong address in my GPS and was horribly late to the party but it was lovely to catch up with her and get pampered in the process
Securing the restaurant, finalizing the invite list, and getting said invites printed for my upcoming baby shower in February. I decided against playing any reindeer games and having people watch me open gifts–instead, I just want a delicious lunch with the people who mean the most to me. I think it will be a beautiful gathering <3
Shopping with my momma at Baby Gap and finding THE CUTEST PUFFER JACKET. It has little ears! I died. She died. It was a wonderful bonding experience, and I’m excited to see her so excited
Watching You on Netflix (some of you recommended this to me and wow it is effed up. I love it! Also the return of Bachelor
Swapping out an old metal frame we’ve had in our master bedroom (one I’ve had in my life for a ridiculously long amount of time) with a newer bed frame from Pier 1 that’s been sitting abandoned for ages. It’s made such a difference in our room. Related, Bryan got around to hanging some things around the house this weekend. Looks like we live here now!
The Michael Kors earmuffs I received for Christmas this year. It has been freezing and these have been a lifesaver on days I need to walk the pup and don’t feel like doing my hair (ha!)
Phone call with my brother and his gf in Florida. They were hoping to come up for the baby shower, but they’re already planning a visit in April when baby is here, so I totally understand that it’s a lot. It meant so much to me that they even thought to do so!
This munchkin, just because
Delivery from a delicious Middle Eastern restaurant in town. I know, I know. I was all “we’re never ordering takeout again!” and I hope we do cut back this year, but we discovered that some places have their own delivery so you can avoid the fees that Uber Eats and GrubHub charge (which really do add up). I just didn’t feel like cooking that night, so kill me 🙂
The adorable bag of baby clothes Bryan’s mom picked up on sale from Carter’s. She already has her first Halloween outfit and ugly Christmas sweater, ha!
