Winter has finally arrived here in New Jersey. I still wish it would snow—just one big snowstorm to make up for the Florida-like temperatures we were experiencing just a week ago—but I’ll take it. Gladly.
The New Year has been unexpectedly chaotic and once again I’ve neglected my blog. I’m hoping this isn’t a pattern in 2016, since I’d really like to finally figure out this work/life balance with greater ease.
I’ve given a lot of thought to how I can grow both personally and professionally, and I’d very much like to dedicate this year to one theme that will help me reach my goals. As you may recall (or as you may have experienced in real life), I have the tendency to go from 0 to 60 in a matter of minutes. Often, my thoughts are a jumbled ball of wire and I can’t remember if I’m coming or going (and what am I doing in the living room?).
Because I tend to lose sight, because I overstretch, because I have a hard time fully committing, because I often feel overwhelmed, because my life is ruled by sticky notes that are often attached to my sleeves and placed precariously all over my computer like I’m stuck in a scene from Memento, because I’m not always in the moment though I like to THINK that I am… because of all of these reasons and more I think the only word that would fit for me in 2016 is focus.
FOCUS, Charlotte, focus.
You totally got this.
Do you have a word or theme for 2016? Let me know in the comments!
