Being in a relationship with someone who hates to have his picture taken poses quite the challenge. Despite my best efforts at sneaking a pic when we’re out to dinner or at a concert, many times I’m left with the Blank Stare which, let’s face it, could also double as a mugshot.
This photo was taken in Enniskerry, Ireland at a wonderful little breakfast joint called Poppies. (sorry, hunny. I love you. Even though you’re giving me the Death Stare, I think this is a handsome shot)
Every now and then we manage to get it right and have been able to take a few good shots:
Aside from occasionally posting these photos to Facebook (and then having them buried in my feed with countless dog pictures), I really miss having a physical book to keep them in.
Enter Love Stories, a beautiful memory journal where couples are asked to fill in the pages with answers to thought-provoking prompts (for example: Special times we’ve had together in the past year; Things we’d like to change or do differently, etc). What I like most is that there are spaces for photographs to accompany the many memorable times you spend together, highlighting anniversaries in a more unique, meaningful way. Snapping a picture is one thing, but focusing on hopes and dreams for the future and what made the year so great (or even challenging) opens dialogue and enables you/your partner to work through those life moments together.
With prompts that span a timeframe of 25 years, this journal is about growing together. In good times and bad. Through sickness and in health. Love Stories would make a wonderful gift this Valentine’s Day for your partner or any couple you know tying the knot. Follow From You to Me on Twitter and on Facebook for more of their personalized and stunning journals.
Oh! I almost forgot—even more icing on the cake! This journal is also environmentally friendly (made of sustainable and acid-free paper).
I received a copy of Love Stories for this review. All opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
