I can’t believe it’s the 17th of March and I’m just getting around to doing my goals. Actually yes, I can. Seems par for the course around here lately. But it’s St. Patrick’s Day so I’m feeling lucky and ready to tackle some new things with what’s left of the month. Let’s begin by looking back–here are my goals for the month of February!
Do something nice for myself. I did! I treated myself to a manicure and now made it a tradition to meet a friend to catch up and get pampered. We get shellac manicures which are kinda $ but they last three weeks and also we’re worth it 🙂
Get back on the workout train. Fat ner on this one. Omg I really suck at it and we have an exercise bike IN THE BEDROOM. It’s right there holding our clothes lol. Disappointed in this one but moving on
Make good use of my weekends. Yes!! My new rule is no more laundry on weekends; instead I want to use that time to do whatever I like—whether that’s heading out to meet my friend for a manicure or enjoying alone time or catching up on a murder mystery, whatever. I just can’t do a chore (though I did rearrange my pantry last week but that has more to do with my own OCD than anything else lol)
Final verdict: 2/3. Not too shabby
This month, like all months, I’m keeping it simple with the following:
- Finish preparing for Mila’s first birthday. It won’t be anything over the top but I do plan on having photos taken with a smash cake. We’ll do separate gatherings with close family only but in the meantime I have to secure a photographer, finish getting Mila’s outfit ready, and put in her cake order
- Read each night. Even if only a page. I’d love to finish a book in 2021 and just ordered this book and OMG I can’t wait to read it
- Make the moments matter. I hate that I fret about the things I can’t provide to Mila (my undivided attention is up there, since I work from home and always feel pulled in a million directions) but I need to stop this because she’s weeks away from her first birthday and there is no better time than the present, right?
What’s on your list of goals this month?

Great job on your February goals! I love shellac manicures. I’ve only had a couple, but I might need to treat myself sometime this Spring.
I might not be a mom myself, but I know mom guilt is real. But just think! Even stay-at-home moms who aren’t also working another job can’t give their kid their undivided attention 24/7. You’re doing the best you can and that’s the main thing. And it looks like Mila is doing fantastic! I hope you have some fun little celebrations for her first birthday. 🙂

I’m making myself workout – even if it’s just a quickie 10 minute one. I kind of fell off that train too the past year lol
I can’t wait to get back into gardening. Our new yard is a blank slate so it’s been fun to plan things out.

Good for you to protect your weekend from chores. We need time to relax. Yay for the mani! And the story of your bedroom strikes home: my NordicTrak is used primarily as a clothes rack. 🙂
