It feels like I haven’t done one of these in a while but also I dunno if that’s accurate because I don’t know what’s happening anymore and wake me up when 2020 ends. How are you all? What’s happening in your worlds, and how are you feeling about life? Are your anxiety levels through the roof? Here, let me make you some tea, sit down, and let’s chat. K? K.
Thinking: about what I have left to do for work today (so much work!) and also what I’m eating next because this is me we’re talking about
Enjoying: hmmm… hard to say. I’m pumping and no one is in my face at the moment so maybe the peace and quiet 😊
Feeling: sad. There, I said it. I can’t help it. 2020 has been a hard year and I’m so tired and overwhelmed by all of it. I feel guilty because we made a decision not to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and some family members aren’t taking it well. I know it’s the right thing to do but that doesn’t make it easier. That said, it’s one holiday and there will be others
Wearing: blue jeans with holes in the knees; black and brown rugby-styled boxy sweater
Needing: another coffee. A babysitter. Someone to make the bed. Related: nap
Wanting: a personal chef. Is that so much to ask?!
Listening: to the sound of forced heat and the TV in the background (Bryan is on his lunch break and watching Pawn Stars). And the incessant dings of Skypes and text messages. GO AWAY! LOL, just kidding, you guys 🙂
Making: dinner in a crockpot. Tonight’s meal is this delicious African inspired peanut stew (good way to use up veggies you have lying around)
Drinking: all the water
And there you have it! What are some things on your Currently list?

Yeah, I feel you on the whole being sad thing. It’s just a rough year in a lot of ways – personally, world wise, etc. I’m ready for it to be over, but I also know that 2021 might not be the best either. I’m just hoping it’s BETTER. We need some hope up in here!!
Sorry some family aren’t being understanding about Thanksgiving. You’re doing what’s right for you and your little family and that’s all that matters. Don’t let the haters get you down!! 🙂

Yes, this year has been hard and, of course, it’s tough to cancel big family dinners during the holidays but we have to stay safe. For the future. It’s the only prudent course. Hang in there, pal.
I am sorry that you’re sad… but aren’t we all a little bit these days? I keep looking for the silver linings where I can. Big hugs, girl.
Oh, I am loving the crockpot dinners these days… thanks for sharing the recipe.
P.S. That mug is so cute!
