Oh hello, sweet friends–I’ve missed you! Like. SO MUCH! I’ve had crazy blog issues as of late following a site migration after updating my SSL through GoDaddy (confused? I am too!). Anyway, I dunno what happened, but it took way longer to fix than I thought it would. Related—if you have a host company you recommend please let me know in the comments. Not sure I can afford to make the move right now but I’m tired of the BS, frankly. Anyway, let’s move on to a currently list, because it’s been a minute.
Thinking: About what a strange time this is to be alive. How the world sometimes feels like it’s cracked open and on fire and nothing is as it should be. How there are real moments when humanity is restored, but a lot of WTF WAS THAT days. I’m also thinking that I need to wake up and stop asking “when will this all be over?” but shift to “how can I get through the day / make it more bearable?”

Enjoying: the peace and quiet. Milo is eating twigs in the backyard, Mila is also eating (no twigs), Bryan is working in his office upstairs and I’m downstairs in mine
Feeling: anxious about returning to work next week now that maternity leave is coming to an end. I’m so grateful Bryan is still working from home even though it’s hard and he wants to return to the office. Selfishly, it’s infinitely easier to have him throughout the day to help with feedings and whatever else Mila/Milo need
Wearing: a pink sundress by Roxy. I’ve had it forever and was just wondering on my walk this morning if there’s an expiration date on clothing. I think not 😊
Needing: nothing. I have all that I need ❤️
Listening: to Mila cooing and the TV in the background
Making: a list and checking it twice. Since I return to work next week, I want to be sure I’m caught up on some to-dos I didn’t get around to yet like making eye and dentist appointments, going to Goodwill with donations, taking care of car cleaning (check! I get my Civic back tonight), and swap out my closet
Eating: Breakfast–bowl of granola with berries, yogurt, and a drizzle of honey / Lunch: Annie’s mac and cheese and sautéed kale with garlic and lemon. For dinner tonight I’m thinking of making a chickpea curry with spinach
Drinking: finished my coffee. Moved on to hint water
What’s up on your currently list, friends?? XOXO and hope everyone is having a great week!
Awww I love all of these pictures!! I’m glad Bryan is still working from home at the moment. I’m sure it is a big help for you, even if he’s itching to work at his office. It’s weird weird times. Agreed. We do the best we can though. Good luck with returning to work!! I hope the transition is smooth. I’ve been working from home since mid-March, which I don’t really mind. It’s the lack of OTHER things that kind of gets to me sometimes. I really don’t leave the house much, and I barely see anyone that I don’t already live with. I’m just glad I have the pool this year and lots and lots of books. LOL
Anyway, so glad to see you back on here!!!

Great to see you back babe! Website issues are so bloody frustrating, especially if you’re waiting on someone else to help you out. Every time my site takes a few seconds longer to load I wonder if it’s down and I’m about to go through what last April was like.
Looove the Mila pictures. Look at her eh? And those with Milo and Mila. My heart. <3 it’s CRAZY your mat leave is over!!
Love you babes xoxo
Yay! A current post instead of something from January lol I was wondering what happened.
I’ve had a harder time these past few months than earlier. I guess I thought we would be further along? Working together more?
I need to accept what is and not what I hope too. There are still fun things to do and see. It just looks different.
love all your pics

Your breakfast is my breakfast – my go-to these days.
Your little girl is so sweet. I cannot believe you’re already going back to work. Maternity leave in the US sucks (there, I said it).
Oh my goodness Mila is growing so quickly! The photos of her and Milo on Insta are just too cute!
Wishing you all the best for going back to work – I cannot believe how quickly the time went.
2020 has just been a really weird year – we’ve been working from home since mid March. Our Lockdown rules have been made stricter since Sunday as our cases are increasing. It is difficult not seeing family for 4 months now.
