Happy Friday, my friends. Times are so strange these days and I feel like what we need more than ever are small and simple pleasures, which is why I look forward to this linky each week. Here are some of my happy moments from the week and don’t forget to share your gratitude with Lindsay and Beth below!
Eating outside on our patio
My Cater to Moms box—this week I received a delicious bag of sea salt toffee and it is so good (and nearly completely gone! Whoops)
A fully-stocked fridge. I went to Aldi spur-of-the-moment to grab some essentials and despite the fact that it was a pretty stressful experience (my first time grocery shopping since having Mila), I was able to find most of the things I needed. I threw them in my cart like I was a contestant on Supermarket Sweep (anyone else remember this??)
My first time walking both Mila and Milo; it was a success and I’ve taken them both out a few times since (love my baby carrier!)
A visit to see my parents
FaceTime and phone chats with friends
Seeing our neighbors doing projects and stopping for brief conversations
Finding the time to cook but allowing delivery on nights when I just don’t wanna’
Finishing Dead to Me (so friggin’ funny) and looking for my next binge. Any suggestions?
Tummy time with Mila. And her new jammies. Aren’t they cute??
Last (but certainly not least), the world lost a very bright light this week–my best friend’s aunt Shelley, known as aunt Shelley to all of us <3 She was a huge animal advocate and ran a sanctuary in upstate New York (if it sounds familiar, it’s because I’ve mentioned her work here several times in the past). I always turned to her for advice with our foster pets, and she invited Bryan and I up to her home about two years ago (it was the last trip we took with Buster and she watched over him while we went out for dinner). I’m so sad she’s gone after a long battle with cancer, and her passing is a reminder of how precious this life really is. Take care of yourselves and each other ❤️
