About two years ago, I met up with two very close friends, a wardrobe designer, a photographer, and a make-up artist and had my very first photo shoot. As many of you already know, I’m not one to pose in front of the camera. I always feel I look awkward and on this day in particular I found myself repeatedly asking the photographer if I looked like a total a-hole. Not because I didn’t feel fabulous (how could I not with the complete makeover they gave me?) but because taking pictures has never been my thing. The makeup/hair artist and wardrobe girl did a wonderful job (seriously, it can take an army to wrestle with this hair alone) and everyone made me feel incredibly relaxed while we were shooting. The backdrop was perfect; we met in the photographer’s house in Westchester, NY, and there were so many beautiful nooks and crannies to take pictures in.
One of my friends has recently had a baby and I know this was something she wanted to do for herself before she accepted another handsome man in her life. My other friend models and choreographs and does videography and photography. She is such an incredibly awesome force and it was amazing to have her alongside to direct and put my mind at ease. Thank you, beautiful ladies, for a wonderful day and though it’s been two years, I say we pick a different theme and do this all again at some point. What do you say?
If you are looking for a photographer/director/hair or makeup artist/stylist in the tri-state area, please contact me and I’ll get you in touch with the amazingly talented people below. This is really great for groups of girls or anyone looking for a little pick-me-up. Also a nice idea if you’d like to gift a little something to your significant other (*wink wink*)…
In other news, I’m extremely excited to welcome Bryan back to Jersey tonight. He’s been in Florida for his sister’s graduation and I haven’t seen him in well over a week. A break was nice and necessary, but I’m definitely ready for it to be over.
Hope you are all having a great week!
